I have been working away on multiple projects and paintings during the last few weeks.

The painting of the left is a rather snowy painting of Yr Wyddfa / Snowdon, the highest mountain in Wales.

The painting on the right is a painting of a view in the himalayas.

I have enjoyed painting both so far.

A great day on the hills! With the light now limited we opted for a wander up sub cneifion followed by cneifion arete. A beautiful day of atmospheric and adventurous climbing with @patrick.damant

I haven't painted or attempted something big for a long time 🎨

The largest canvas i painted was 24ft x 16ft. As many of you will know, the larger the painting, the bigger the problems are to fix. For me, mistakes and problems are all part of the process of making art.

I don't use a projector or a grid system, i simply draw the image with paint and correct and alter as the painting evolves.

The aspect that i enjoy the most is the use of colour in art 🎨

I can't wait to show you my version of 'Crib Goch', one of my favourite mountains in my backyard in Snowdonia.

Kingfisher, oil on board.

It's taken many layers of brushwork to get to this stage and I am delighted it's nearly there! Inspired by trips to the @Spinnies in bangor and @wwtmartinmere

Usually you just see a flash of blue, but on this occasion, we were lucky enough to see kingfishers fishing right in front of the hide at both locations.

This painting will be on sale by the end of the week, message for more information.
